At the beginning of the semester we were asked to blog how visual symbols affect our lives. When I wrote this the first time I thought about company and product logos and street signs. I still believe that visual symbols greatly affect my life on a daily basis. Visual symbols do not mean the same thing to everyone because they bring their own  unique experiences to what they view. These unique experiences affect the message that is interpreted by the individual. So it is important to understand that everyone views things in different ways and that just because they do not have the same view as you it doesn't mean that their view is wrong. An example of this is stop signs there are different stop sign all over the world.
